Caring for your Natural flooring

1. We recommend that you protect your flooring with INTEC, the stain inhibitor.
2. Use entrance doormats to control the amount of dirt tracked in and vacuum regularly using a suction only appliance.
3. Blot and then clean spots and spills using the Natural Flooring Care Kit (£24.99 each)
4. Avoid liquids such as water of carpet cleaner.
5. Added protection of a castor chair mat is suggested if using chairs fitted with castors.

Fitting

You are advised to use a professionally trained fitter to lay natural flooring using a recommended underlay. Prior to fitting natural flooring should be allowed to acclimatise for at least 48 hours.

Some types of flooring are better suited to certain locations than others. Please refer to the recommendations on our website or sample swatches.

Stain inhibitor

Alternative flooring offers an environmentally friendly solution called INTEC. This solution, which has been specifically developed for natural floorcoverings, is applied before your flooring is delivered and will not alter the flooring’s colour, texture or flame retardancy. INTEC will reduce the impact of liquid spills and prolong the life of your floor covering.

Swatch sample service

We are happy to send out samples of any of the Alternative flooring range. This can be arranged by calling one of our stores or via e-mail. Please allow approx 5 days for the samples to arrive. Due to the nature of natural flooring we cannot guarantee the colour/pattern matching from a computer monitor. Therefore, it is recommended you view the product in person, either in-store or via a sample.
